Autere Hannes (1888-1967)
Finnish folk sculptor. His subjects are the Finnish people`s everyday toil and leisure and religious themes. The works express both the sculptor`s sense of comedy and his personal spirituality. His wooden figures have a naivistic nature and are often based on Finnish legendary materials . Autere used the light and shade created by the technique to infuse his work with expression.
The Life of Moses
Moses and Aaron | Autere Hannes
