	Beck Leonhard (1480-1542) German Northern Renaissance painter. Served as an assistant to Hans Holbein the Elder . He was an illustrator, draftsman, painter and printmaker and specialized in woodcuts. Executed a commissioned series of woodcuts depicting the life and reign of Emperor Maximilian I, published in 1775.
